From the Developer:
Effective July 27th, 2009, schubec announced the discontinuation of the schubec plug-ins for FileMaker.
Developing FileMaker plug-ins has been a challenging but nevertheless interesting task.
We have developed FileMaker plug-ins for the past 8 years and gone through all the hassels of porting our plug-ins to the FileMaker plug-in API from FileMaker 6.0 to 7.0, we migrated our plug-ins from the Mac Power PC architecture to Universal Binaries, Windows from Win98 to Vista and Mac from OS X 10.1 to 10.5 – always keeping an eye on existing customers with legacy platforms.
All of these existing and upcoming platforms have led to an incredible amount of different test scenarios and support cases, keeping our beta testers and support staff busy. Meanwhile FileMaker Pro evolved and now has many new features built-in, making some of our plug-in functions obsolete. Competitors copied ideas and sold their products at dumping prices, leading to a very moderate number of schubec plug-in sales; a number so low that keeping a development crew and support staff employed for these tasks is not justified anymore.schubec is now focusing on various new projects, some related to FileMaker and some to other programming environments.
schubec will continue to support existing customers for 12 months from the date of their purchase. In case of support questions, please contact support@schubec.com with your proof of purchase.
Customers who bought their products before June 27th, 2008 are also welcome to send emails to support@schubec.com, however unfortunately depending on the nature of the support problem we cannot guarantee solutions to all emailed support questions. Nevertheless we will do our best on a voluntary basis.
We want to thank all our customers for their support over the last 8 years and look foward to working together in the future by developing exciting new projects.
