SecureFM Changelog- - SecureFM 5.5.1 - 1st September 2011
- SecureFM 5.5.1 for Windows gives you a new function named “Menu-Statusbar”. This new function gives you the ability to remove the Status Bar that takes up room at the bottom of FileMaker’s file windows on the Windows platform.
- + SecureFM 5.50 - 1st June 2001
- The Exit / Quit command is now intelligently disabled regardless of its exact position in the File menu. SecureFM 5.5 recognizes that “<1><21>” (or “<1><20>” in FMP 5.0) is an instruction to disable the Exit / Quit command. Exit / Quit will automatically be disabled, even if the ‘Show recently opened files’ preference is marked, changing its position in the File menu.
- SecureFM 5.5 correctly disables Ctrl-Sh-O (Cmd-Opt-O on Mac) when the new “Open Remote” command (“<1><3>”) is disabled in the File menu. This keyboard command used to be disabled along with Ctrl-O (Cmd-O on Mac) when the “Open” command was disabled. SecureFM 5.5 now handles the two commands and their keyboard equivalents separately.
- Registration codes for SecureFM 5.0 will work for SecureFM 5.5, but only when used with FileMaker Pro 5.0. This allows you to upgrade your version of SecureFM for free if you continue to use FileMaker Pro 5.0. If you are using SecureFM 5.5 on FileMaker Pro 5.5, however, the older registration codes will not work.
- On the Mac, when Delete Layout was disabled (“<6><3>”), its related keyboard command — Cmd-E on Mac — was not properly disabled. This error occurred only in Layout mode; the “Delete Record” command and its keyboard equivalent have been securely disabled all along. This bug is now fixed in SecureFM 5.5.
- On the Windows platform, when either Maximize or Minimize is disabled, the keyboard command Ctrl-Shift-Z is now correctly disabled, as well.
- The Configurator tool included in the free demo files has been updated for the menu changes in FileMaker Pro 5.5.
- + SecureFM 5.0.6 - 1st April 2011
- A password feature has been added, giving you a heightened level of security for your solutions. Registering SecureFM with a password prevents users from reregistering the plug-in with their own password which might allow them to change the menu configuration. When SecureFM is registered with a password, that password must also be used to change menu configurations and toolbar access. The password feature is entirely optional. SecureFM is backward compatible with plug-in commands designed to run on earlier pre-password versions of SecureFM.
- The SecureFM Editor file examples and documentation have been updated in two main areas:
- Description of the new Password function
- Explanation and examples of how to prevent potential security loopholes with some menu configurations
- A bug was fixed in the ‘configurator’ that calculates SecureFM’s configuration codes based on the menu items checked off to be disabled. With previous versions, certain uncommon configurations could result in double commas or a comma being dropped. This bug was in the demo file and not the plug-in itself. It is fixed in the latest version.
- + SecureFM 5.0.5 - 1st January 2001
- In runtime solutions using version 5.0.4, configurations set for Browse mode were applied to Preview mode as well. This only occurred with runtime solutions. SecureFM 5.0.5 fixes this bug.
- + SecureFM 5.0.4 - 1st January 2000
- Disables the Copy All Records keyboard command — Cmd-Opt-C (Mac) or Ctrl-Shift-C (Win) — when either Copy in the Edit menu or Export Records in the File menu has been disabled. This keyboard command was not getting disabled in version 5.0.3 creating a potential security risk.
- Disables the Paste Without Styles keyboard command — Cmd-Opt-V (Mac) or Ctrl-Shift-V (Win) — when Paste is disabled in the Edit menu. This keyboard command was not getting disabled in version 5.0.3.
- Fixed an incompatibility that could arise with some HP printer drivers which could cause FileMaker to crash.
- Disables the Delete Without Dialog keyboard command on Windows — Ctrl-Shift-E — when the Delete Record command is disabled in the Records menu.
- Windows bug fixed that caused Contextual Menus to be disabled when the New Database command in the File menu was disabled. This bug occurred only on Windows, not in the Mac version of SecureFM 5.0.3.
- A bug was fixed that prevented the disabling of Contextual Menus in Preview and Layout modes on Windows 98.
- Disables the Open Network Dialog keyboard command on Windows 98 — Ctrl-Shift-O — when the Open command is disabled in the File menu.
- Disables the Print Without Dialog keyboard command on Windows — Ctrl-Shift-T — when the Print command is disabled in the File menu.
- Fixes a bug that caused Alt keys to be disabled on Windows NT.
