The VideoRaptor plugin for FileMaker Pro allows you to view your video camera’s live preview and capture frames as still images.
Features:
- Connect to any USB, FireWire or Internal Camera
- View a live preview of the camera stream before capturing a single frame
- Save captured frames to major file formats like BMP, JPEG, GIF, TIFF and PNG
- Paste images to the system clipboard
This plugin for FileMaker Pro works with any connected camera. You can use your built in iSight camera, a USB connected WebCam or a FireWire connected device. You can use the plugin to show you a display of what the camera sees and then you can capture the current frame and store it as a image in many popular formats, or as an image onto your system clipboard. For Mac OS X, the VideoRaptor plug-in for FileMaker Pro allows you to interact with any connected video source on your computer. This includes built-in video-cameras, video-cameras connected via USB or FireWire connected devices.
From within the plug-in, you can query the operating system to find out what devices are connected to the computer and actually select the video source to use or you can opt to use the default video device.
Once you established a connection to your video source, you can open a video stream to a preview window or just tell the camera to give you a still image. It’s the still image that is the central function of the plug-in.
You can tell the plug-in to give you an image from the video camera, which will in turn capture the current frame from the video source and you can save it to either the clipboard or as a image to save to disk. The plug-in supports BMP, GIF, JPEG, PNG and TIFF.
